YMCA Solar project inauguration

1.6MW Solar Panels across YMCA locations in Arizona

Scout Solar installs over 1.6MW of Centrosolar E-Series panels at 13 YMCA locations

PROJECT: Valley of the Sun YMCAs (13 locations) in the Arizona Area.

CHALLENGES: With a commitment to sustainability and limited land space and capital available, the YMCA, a 150 year-old organization, was looking to promote the use of alternative energy at its facilities, while reducing energy costs.

SOLUTIONS: Centrosolar America teamed with Scout Solar to utilize the space available on shaded canopies and rooftops at 13 YMCA facilities in Arizona. The 6,000 Centrosolar America E-Series
panels installed utilize polycrystalline high-efficiency silicon cells in an optimal configuration to maximize the amount of generated electricity.

The systems were installed and financed by Scout Solar, with no out-of-pocket costs for YMCA and a fixed monthly lease payment on the system, an amount far less than what their savings on electricity will be. And they are protected from future spikes in energy prices with this arrangement.

Centrosolar has the proven, reliable products to meet our project requirements. And they are there, supporting the YMCA installations from start to finish, said Scout Solar Project
Administrator, Michael Norris. We take a great deal of pride in our relationships with our clients, and CentroSolar fits right in. It’s all about the people, and we look forward to a continuing, productive relationship with the Centrosolar team in Arizona.

Scout Solar is best-in-class when it comes to solar integrators in Arizona, says Centrosolar Director of Sales, Chris Wood. They do it all and make ‘going solar’ seamless for their many commercial and non-profit clients.
